Doesn’t get much better than the classic flavours of homemade apple pie for breakfast on a cold day.
Method:
- Throw all the ingredients into a saucepan, keeping a few pieces of apple aside.
- Cook over a medium heat until boiling then lower the heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Spoon the porridge into a serving bowl and top with the remaining apple and add a sprinkle of cinnamon.
